What to bring

A photo or a name for the Memory Wall. Someone you love who is holding a lot. Yourself, as you are.

What you leave with

Naloxone. The First 5 Minutes™. Three phone numbers. One person you called and one person you plan to call.

You can just sit there

Nobody will make you speak. Nobody will make you cry. There will be tissues, water, and a chair with your name on it if you need one.

Memory Wall

Send us the name of someone you love who is no longer here.

We will say it aloud and light a candle for them on August 31. You do not have to be in the room. You do not have to write a story. A name is enough.

Add a name to the Memory Wall

On Monday, August 31, we will read names aloud and light a candle for each one. If you cannot be there in person, we will hold your loved one in that room for you.

Start with their name. The rest of the form will open once you begin.

The eight zones

What your day looks like

  1. 1
    You arrive.
Someone at the Front Porch says hello and asks: what do you need today. A Navigator walks with you.
  2. 2
You get what you came for.
A haircut, a hot meal, a screening, a naloxone kit, a form filled out, a legal question answered. Or all of the above.
  3. 3
    You learn one thing.
A 20-minute skill in the Training Room. Or the Four Minute Hero challenge. You walk out able to do something you couldn't do this morning.
  4. 4
    You stay for a minute.
You listen to a song at the Stage. You watch the Candle to Sunrise get rebuilt from that first Monday night. You leave lighter than you came.

How we know it worked

We ask everyone a five-item pre/post instrument, scored 1–5. It's how you move from a nice event to a measurable shift.

  1. Overdose response knowledge
  2. Confidence using naloxone
  3. Willingness to tell someone you are struggling
  4. Stigma toward people who use drugs
  5. Knowing where to get help
